You Are What You Eat

Moderation.

Most things are all right in moderation.

But you must be alert.  The measurement can get skewed over time and what was once okay is now too much.

When pain cuts into workouts, consumption goes up in a bad way.  Don’t feel like an apple.  Would much rather have a cherry cordial mocha with whip cream.

Will forgive myself the long weekend of excess and try harder today.

Starting with a tall glass of water, a real orange (instead of juice), an oatmeal bar and a cup of decaf, black.

And when I bypass the muffin counter at the coffee shop, I will do a little happy dance and everyone will wonder how I can be so cheerful without sugar or caffeine.
