Lifting (On the Importance of Exercise)

Fall into many bad routines.  The worst being staying sedentary and skipping class.

The winter is harsh and long and dark.  It’s warm under covers, I’m tired today and it’s too early to get up.  Emails need answering, projects planned, contacts cultivated, and students helped.  Maybe tomorrow I’ll have time for …

But everyday you feel a little lower, a little slower, and a little less.

Change the scenery.  Take a walk.  Do some sit ups.  Ride the bike. Do class.

And then you’ll feel lifted, lighter and simply better.
