Sitting in Judgment

Judged at tournament today.

As I know how hard some of the children worked, I would prefer everyone to win.  Life’s not like that.  The board doesn’t always break.  Body and mind freeze forms.  Hands drop, letting opponent’s point sneak through our guard.

But we keep learning.

Looking past the shiny trophies, that’s the real purpose behind tournaments.
