Waiting for the Rain (Monday’s Minute of Meditation)

If I was given a preference, I would sit outside to meditate.

Grew up in the country. Waiting on the porch as the weather turned, all you heard was the wind.

A city neighborhood does not allow the quiet before the storm.  There is traffic; cars, skateboards, and dog walkers.  They will shoot hoops in the court across the street until it is either to dark or the closing in lightening makes it dangerous.

I sometimes miss the quiet but I like the community, as there are others outside, sitting on their steps, all of us waiting for the rain.
