Garage Sale Martial Arts Books

Acquired a book on Kung Fu today for twenty five cents.

It was written in 1977 by David Chow and Richard Spangler.  Excited by the history.  Interested to find some of our defenses are very similar to ones pictured.

But then a chapter on the aspects of Kung, made all the rest suspect.  And I wonder why, even thirty years ago, they would have been included.  What was described isn’t possible, regardless of how many years you practice.  (For example touch free bell ringing and death strikes)  Their inclusion cast doubt on the historical information.

Now I’m looking for good Kung Fu book recommendations.
