Quiet (and cool) Mind Time

Ran an hour long program today for third and fourth graders  in a gym with no air movement.  It was 99 degrees outside and felt even hotter in doors.

We moved slowly.  Stretched and talked. Light exercises. Felt as if I was losing weight simply standing.

At the end we sat cross legged, hands resting on our knees, breathing.

Everyone shared the coldest thing they could bring to mind.

And we learned about how sometimes martial arts is about patience, acceptance and making the best out of a hot and sticky situation.
