Simpers and Sighs

The sighs came from me.

And they were not the relaxed, end of a good class type of sigh.

They were more of an expression of exasperation and frustration.

I have become accustomed to the young ladies who study at our academy.  They can be chatty and sometimes silly but they are always strong.

I have been assigned a class of six simpering seventh graders.

It has me reflecting on role models, character reinforcements and how to encourage strength without forgoing all the good things about being a girl.
