Triolet

Today’s challenge from NaPoWriMo (30 poems in 30 days) was to write a triolet. New to me – a triolet is an eight line poem. All lines are 8 syllables (iambic tetrameter) with repeated lines and a rhyme scheme of : ABaAabAB
This will be poem #20!

White Noise
I sit, silent, meditating
Making for a little quiet
Still traffic moves and birds will sing
I sit, silent, meditating
What new clamor will this day bring
Regulate and stop the riot
I sit, silent, meditating
Making for a little quiet.

And #21 just for fun and because we worked on kicks today!

In tae kwon do we learn to kick
Snapping, jumping, spinning, flying
Hoping our lessons soon will stick
In tae kwon do we learn to kick
Creating strength that breaks through brick
Lessons learned again by trying
In tae kwon do we learn to kick
Snapping, jumping, spinning, flying
